Judith has been a practicing massage therapist since 1999. She is certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB).
Judith attended the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she completed an intensive 750-hour program. Her course of study included various forms of massage, energy work, ethics, and naturopathic philosophy. She has received additional training in the field of cancer massage through the Oregon School of Massage in Portland, Oregon. Judith is also a Reiki Master and an Associate Polarity Practitioner.
Judith practiced massage in a number of professional environments before creating Orion’s Light in 2004. These diverse establishments include the St. Regis Hotel, Reset Wellness Center, The Spa at Paul and Kay’s, and Advanced Chiropractic and Spine Center. She has also been a guest lecturer on the topics of massage and energy work at the University of Pennsylvania.
In addition to her massage training and experience, Judith has worked in a variety of medical settings. She has experience as a medical secretary in hemetology/oncology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, medical insurance claims processor for the University of New Mexico, counselor at the Elizabeth Blackwell Center for Women, and chiropractic technician for Woudsma Chiropractic.
Judith's massage practice reflects her combined passions for allopathic and holistic medicine. She has a thorough academic and practical knowledge of anatomy, and an intuitive understanding of the musculoskeletal system. She is balanced and flexible in her approach, and strives to serve her clients from a place of compassion, non-judgement, and understanding. She feels that her clients know their bodies best, and treats them according to their wishes and specific needs. Judith is an attentive listener, and finds joy in the long-term professional relationships she has established with many of her clients. Much of her work is also grounded in her own life experiences with physical injury, emotional healing, and spiritual growth.
Judith is currently pursuing a pre-medical degree at Arcadia University.
